shall post this on enlistment eve =D spent todae chilling at home, packing and making sure i got ev thing i need for todae.  i guess im gonna miss my family/frens, all the super awesome J1s and 2s in Red cross, YEC sports adventure ppl etc etc.

i don tink i have the chance to use the com soon at least till this Saturday? hehe not sure, but i think i can update my FB status via SMS on my blog and FB too! ------------>

just had final 2.4 jog/ items practice before enlistment , gonna go for macs supper soon! a little treat before NS :P  will try to catch burn notice later, i tink its quite a cool spy drama haha

.ho ho ho, its down to one day... final weekend with family and hopefully i get to come out this saturday for May day public hol :P im not scared of NS, quite a no. of ppl asked me this qn lol  i look forward to it, its a new exp to forge new frenships/ learning lots of new things... of course there will be challenges, some of my frens who alr Passed out told me online that it's overall an enjoyable journey after u complete ur 9 weeks, for me its 9 weeks basic military training, and i will serve 22 months instead of 24 months for having cleared the fitness requirements :) will heed Mr Ang's advice of making myself tired on day 1 so i can sleep well hehe..

wrote my thk u messages to the J1s/ J2s in the morning and then headed out at 5 for sushi dinneeer with family xD was also scouting for a watch, cause i actually bought 2 watches in the past 2 weeks and they both culd not work after i went swimming with it. blehhh. jogged for arnd 2.7k and did a little 4 items cycle =D

wanted to catch movies but i guess no more time alr... iron man 2 is coming out 30 apr...

was also chatting with Li tian regarding wat CCA bonding comm culd do, we culd go to marina barrage for a picnic then fly kitttte! haha then can explore marina bay sands area too, they are opening soon too, J1s shld have an outing soon?

thk you to the J2 exco who planned the nice surprise at the end of the day just now, after our last day of J1 exco interviews and 2 days bef i enlist hehe... haha was very moved by what you all wrote, it just pushes me further, cause RJRC really allowed me to learn alot and i really loved the CCA XD and thx for taking time to buy the stuff and preparing them :P
the J1s wrote thk u/encouragement messages , thks so much J1s, hope tat u all can bring the CCA to new heights, as a new batch with new dreams and inspirations :) i really hope at the end of your 2 yrs, you wuld find RJRC fulfilling!!

went for dinner with mum/bro and sourced for a watch for next week,  went for my 2.4 jog and 4 items cycle in the morning, then dad fetched me to sch for the last day of the J1 exco interviews, cause i was alr running late lol. after having listened to all 21 candidates who are running, i guess we all have a better picture of what they believe in and a better understanding of their characters. Announcement for new exco scheduled for 5 may, wed during handover :) J1s, bring us higher!

got used to my army spects and started using army phone todae, still have to get used to using it esp smsing ppl... went for a short nite jog and some exercises. Qi wen's booking out tomorrow at noon after his 1st 2 wks, freedommm finally he is in dragon COY, guess i will see him arnd too ...

bro bought spring chicken for supper was very very tempted to join in , can even smell the fries from a distance, but nvm, endurrre. its bad for me :)

well well, as time ticks away, i keep imagining myself in camp next week, what would i be doin and thinking? haha Mr Ang told me just now he also culd not slp the day bef he enlisted... i tink i wuld be the same too? woke up very late todae, 1045 am haha.. went for a swim aft that to warm myself up :) got lunch at J8 macs then ta paoed to school. met up with Nanda (good fren ) and Daniel Tan (my junior) at RJ canteen at 1.30pm, had a great chat abt sch life over our drinks.. had strawberry pocky todae, dennis brought the choc one, we have been eating too much pocky!!!

Mr Ang joined us afterwards and brought the whole exco KOI bubble tea, was SOOO kind of him cause he came from Toa Payoh, so he asked if we wanted any drinks. It was the herbal jelly and pearls milk tea, enjoyed it xD exco interviews went well, its gonna be a really super tough choice this yr, theres so much to consider.. we ended like at 8pm :P

changed my normal hp to army phone phone from tonight onwards, and i get a little giddy wearing my army spects arrrgh.. shall get used to it soon, shall i start wearing it now?

woohoo have been eating quite some pocky these few days for J1 RC exco interviews yesterday and campaigns todae... now with just 4 days to resort world TEKONG, i shld really eat watever i like ? but im a bit afraid it will make me unfit after all the exercises, so i m rather careful with wat i eat, alr avoided some food for weeks. went to buy 3 flavours of pocky, famous amos cookies and brought chupa chumps lollis for all the J1s, since i wont be seeing most of them for some time, its a small token for them haha
campaign speeches were rather smooth, some had better flow. Voting began and was over quite soon. J2s stayed back, gave opinions, with mr ang listening on. quite a good spread of opinions mentioned cause it was in a rather relaxing mood, J2s just spoke wat they felt.. detailed voting results just out :P

well quite good spread of 1st aid duties RJ RC will cover soon, we wuld be in charge of Istana open house first aid on 1 May, sending teams for JCI Asia Pacific Conference with 2000 delegates at Pit building area and another Amazing race arnd spore by the sci department, looks rather exciting for the J1s and 2s!!hope the J1s and J2s enjoy next weeks session hehe.. 2nd last session for J2s... the J2 exco is planning smth really exciting after may hope all goes well for tat!

Had a good chat with Dennis for the new exco, we both really agreed on a lot of things :) Its really a tough decision, with good candidates, telling you how they can deliver...

anw had my 2.4 jog and 4 items in the evening, was quite refreshed aft tat lol. too bad i missed 100 % entertainment todae, or 娱乐百分百 and luo zhi xiang is always so funny cracking those jokes, smth like muttons to midnite but taiwan version and its on TV.

bro wanted supper and i also felt like eating mcflurry, so mum drove us to J8 macs to get our supper at 10pm. last time we had supper was like 3 weeks ago at prata house? tink its gonna be some time bef i can enjoy mcflurry again, after next week..

woke up later todae, 9.30 am, haha shld try to slp as much before NS. rather glad that I was able to keep to my own promise of doin my morning jog and 4 items cycle.. sun was rather hot, but shall get used to it xD then made my way to sch by 230 pm for day 2 of RC exco interviews. haha aida bought her dark choc pocky (was quite nice!) and i got the strawberry pocky, dennis was like so hungry, munching on during our breaks haha interviews went rather well, was rather positive overall :) good luck for those J1s campaigning for votes tom!! interviews ended by like 5pm? went home for dinner and then went to SQ 2 for bro to have his haircut. came back at 9pm and did another cycle of 4 items and 2.4K nite jog, weather's quite cool so wasnt too tiring. hopefully all these training pay off for NS =D its tiring but guess its gonna be worth it? haha

3rd last CCA session for J2s tomorrow.. and they are allowed to bring FOOOOD!!! haha 1 year really passed so fast.. shall look forward to the campaigns tomorrow, hopefully it wuld be entertaining!! chilling with muttons to midnite :P

haha its now down to 6 dayssss! i m super sure next monday will come in a flash!! well todae was rather fruitful went to quite few places... left home for Plaza sing with mum to get some stuff then had lunch at dhoby, then collected and settled some stuff at HQ which is just opposite plaza sing. Overseas CIP discussion was postponed cause the person IC had an impt meet this afternoon. since i had time to spare bef attending the Exco interviews for RJRC, mum and i went to orchard for some shopping. the famous amos store at wisma is under renovation... went round taka and ion aft tat :) can imagine one week later all i see wuld be greens and more greens...reached sch by 5 and the J1s were having their world red cross day discussion. Joel was 1st and then went the interview.. haha some of their ans were quite lol, some were shocked with the qns, but i guess thats the purpose of getting to know them better right? how they react to these qns... ev thing ended by 730pm then mum fetched me to novena sq to get dinner and i wanted to find a earphone there too.. missed my exercise todae, gotta do it tomorrow morning i guess?

7 DAYS bef NS!!!

Time really flew by so fast, in 7 days, im gonna be in tekong resort island to take over those who pop ed !!
The past few months have been rather nice, getting all the time I have to do lots of things that I dint even had a chance to for the last 2 yrs. It’s like im able to take things so slowly, practically no stress, step by step, enjoy the simplest things in life , be it jogging arnd, listening to children’s chatters as they play in the park or for a for a leisure swim blah blah. I’ve been keeping myself bz for the past few months with temp jobs, volunteering with Spore Red Cross , being attached to RJ RC by HQ as a mentor and being involved in Bishan CC YEC’s Adventure (sports) Interest Group. Really, it’s rather fulfilling for me, learning from these special people ive met along the way, getting to interact with all kinds of ppl and being able to contribute to the community keeps me going, esp Red Cross, where it had been part of my life since sec 1, after being officially attached to RJC by HQ, I’ve been going back to their weekly sessions and mentoring the CCA has been rather fun and exciting, with the awesome J2s and great batch of new J1s this yr, I think theres a lot more potential for RJ Red Cross to grow =D Its really a good batch! Its been really nice mentoring the CCA as a senior. The CCA managed to get 3rd placing in our annual first aid competition, hopefully they do well in their upcoming NUS 1st aid competition in May too! Was also rather glad I was able to stick with my exercise plans in the past 3 months to prepare for NS, with volleyball, basketball, jogging, 4 items and swimming. Ive also found out my best time for jogging, for me it’s arnd 5pm, ive tried jogging in the morning, early evening and nights like close to 11pm, but still found evening jogs better cause its rather cool and there are ppl jogging arnd too!

The past week has been rather nice, meeting up with close frens bef my enlistment, going shopping, eating and just chilling out with my family. Btw the Yakun at orchard central really has nice comfy seats, and its really really quiet, and I think orchard central is too quiet haha. Aunt/ cousin met me, bro and mum up on fri for a nice meal / shopping at marina sq to send me off for NS, then we had a great swim and dinner at mandarin gardens. Went for Run round spore appreciation lunch at Newton with Litian on Sat, enjoyed the food there, and they told us theres another appreciation gala dinner on 7 May, wonder if I can go.. I wanna go! Haha.. Choong Ngan came to my house yesterday, cause it was raining, so we caught “The Blind Side” on DVD. Was a really touching true story movie of endurance and sacrifce. Well some more RJ Red Cross stuff in the next few days, then weekends and then the resort trip begins!! Going to Orchid Country Club for dinner now, I wanna play bowling!! will be down at HQ for preliminary overseas trip discussions tomorrow..

7 days, I know it will be over in a flash. Slowing down my steps, taking in whatever I can and treasuring my family as much before I go in. Hope all goes well for NS!!
